OBAMA!!!!!!! :D
I agree about their records. I confess I was uneasy at the prospect of a Hillary Clinton campaign before Obama announced his intention to run -- and her vote in favor of the Iraq war, as well as other parts of her legislative record, did nothing to endear her to me. But in Obama I see a candidate who is much more than just "anybody but Clinton." His record gives me confidence that he has a better chance of repairing the damage wrought by the Bush administration than anyone else in the race. And if you haven't read his books, I recommend them both. I'm still reading "The Audacity of Hope," which is more policy-oriented, but "Dreams From My Father" is a fascinating read even outside the context of this race. The man can write. I couldn't put it down.
The 2004 election just broke my heart. I gave it everything I had, and I was crushed when Kerry lost, even though the candidate himself wasn't my first choice for the nomination. I kept telling myself that I wouldn't get sucked in again this time, but Obama got through to me anyway.
I hope you can both vote and caucus for Obama on Tuesday -- the caucus is especially important! I think this race might give me a heart attack soon...
